Senior Project Manager - Contract role
Our client in the education sector is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible to help redesign a work stream and support assigned teams to successfully deliver project plans and outcomes on time, within scope, and to the level of quality required.
You will be responsible for ensuring Matauranga Maori is appropriately considered and implemented throughout the programme. It would be beneficial to have experience in this area and a genuine interest in promoting Maori culture to growing New Zealanders.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop project variation documentation as required by the programme framework.
- Coordinate with and support the PMO who are responsible for programme administration and reporting.
- Support the Programme Schedule to maintain the schedule to enable effective programme reporting.
- Facilitate team delivery and manage, eliminate or escalate impediments to effectively deliver Increment Plan objectives.
- Ensure team project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints are captured and entered into the appropriate registers with sufficient detail.
- Seek mitigations (for risks), develop action plans (for issues) and monitor all risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and constraints through to closure/resolution.
- Escalation to Programme Manager and Programme Director where necessary.
- Facilitate, lead and participate in team and programme meetings and events.
- Assist in the management of supplier deliverable and contract management requirements.
