About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical infrastructure project in Auckland, with an immediate start.
This project will focus on infrastructure upgrades, including servers, networks, firewalls, and potential integration with systems/applications. The successful individual will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects (servers, firewalls, networks, etc.) from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring the project stays within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Work closely with IT teams, non-technical staff, and external vendors to ensure all components of the project are aligned and effectively delivered.
- Identify and mitigate risks, particularly those related to system downtime, data security, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the integration of new infrastructure with existing systems, ensuring smooth functionality.
- Oversee ongoing maintenance, performance monitoring, and ensure systems continue to function optimally after project delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience managing infrastructure projects, particularly in highly regulated industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of IT systems, including networks, servers, and security infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
- Ability to start immediately.
