We are currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant to join one of Auckland’s premier law firms. As part of our high-performing team, you will provide comprehensive and confidential support to Partners and senior lawyers, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of a busy legal practice.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing high-level administrative and secretarial support to Partners and senior fee earners
Managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements
Preparing, formatting, and editing a range of legal documents and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy
Managing court filings and ensuring compliance with court deadlines and protocols
Liaising confidently and professionally with clients, court staff, and external stakeholders
Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Maintaining and organising legal files, both physical and electronic
Assisting with monthly billing, time recording, and expense processing

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a legal secretary or legal PA role within a law firm or legal department
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal practice management systems
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong command of grammar and legal formatting
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure
A professional, proactive, and client-focused approach
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
A high level of discretion, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality
