About Our Client
They are a communiy based ECE centre, licenced up to 75 children, dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive. They focus is on providing an inclusive enviroment where the community of children feel valued, respected and empowered to be unique individuals
The Role
As the Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, supporting staff development, and fostering strong relationships with families and the community. This role would be suitable for those with head teacher or supervisor experience with the desire to grow their leadership skills.
This is a full time postion. Hours may be flexible with one day off the floor per week.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the centre’s daily operations, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Supervise, mentor, and support experienced teaching staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education.
Develop and implement educational programs that align with Te Whāriki such as learning stories etc.
Build and maintain strong relationships with families, whanau, and the wider community.
Manage enrolments, and centre administration effectively.
Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and professional development within the team.
About You
A qualified and registered ECE teacher with a minimum Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification (or higher).
Proven leadership experience in an ECE setting.
Strong understanding of ECE regulations, curriculum frameworks, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for working with children and their families in a community-focused environment.
Experience in administration, budgeting, and staff supervision is an advantage.
