As an Accounts Officer, you will play a vital role in managing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, expense claims, and compliance with financial regulations. Your ongoing motivation and attention to detail will contribute to the overall performance of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and code all invoices and credit notes into the accounting system.
- Manage vendor entries, ensuring compliance with documentation and tax requirements.
- Oversee staff expense claims and the approval system.
- Prepare and organise payments for due invoices, conducting reconciliations as necessary.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient funds in bank accounts.
- Handle accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and debt collection.
- Maintain compliance with funding conditions and assist with reconciliations.
- Support credit card management and address staff inquiries.
- Monitor aged debtors and generate monthly statements.
- Assist with internal controls, audit processes, and reporting.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable or similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting softwares and CRM systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytic skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
