Key Responsibilities:

  • Remote support of all IT Infrastructure Systems (Storage operating systems and Infrastructure applications) ensuring availability and performance at datacentres and stores to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Monitor, maintain and optimise all hardware and associated operating systems
  • Understand the future business requirements for IT Infrastructure and ensure that all current and future capacity and performance aspects of the business requirements provided are cost effective
  • Develop tools and processes to allow Service Desk to be more efficient with recurring incidents/problems


  • Relevant industry specific certifications (Microsoft / Cisco VMWare etc)
  • At least five (5) years experience in a similar role such as a Systems Administrator
  • Strong logic and systems thinking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to problem solve in a complex and multi-discipline area
  • Able to build effective relationships
  • Expertise in systems management practices
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Proven track record of effective qualitative and quantitative judgement and decision making
  • Timely and accurate executor of all initiatives


  • Experience in the FMCG environment
  • At least seven (7) years System Administration
  • Experience in retail and/or warehouse management systems
